Greetings!

Welcome to my blog, 'A Lifetime with pets', which is about exactly that. My four children are all finally reaching the stage in life where they think about spreading their wings, and that has given me some time to reflect back upon the amazing journey that we have come through as a family and I came to the realization that many of our most important stepping stones included some extra family members- our pets.

This blog is intended to be a friendly place where we can all share the stories of our beloved pets and how they have influenced each of us. Follow along as I recount various milestones or tremendous moments that have occurred during the raising of my family, and how our pets were involved in each of them.

It is my firm belief that having so many pets around during the influential part of their childhood has had a tremendous positive development on each of my children. I hope to encourage you with our experiences. Feel free to comment and send me your own stories.

Captain Cav takes on Koda

Captain Cav charges everywhere, and attacks everything. Rica is trying to get Cav not to be so violent but her attempts are in vain, Cav is very aggressive. Koda takes his toy from Cav, but this doesn't stop Cav. He is on Koda's heals, he will get it back.

Captain Cav

Cav is the newest member of our family. He is a Caviler King Charles Spaniel. He should get about 13 inches tall and 10 pounds. He will have long like all Spaniels. We haven't figured out why, but my daughter bought him, and brought him to our crowded home. I thought 6 people and 4 pets was enough, but not my daughter, she thought we need a puppy. Not just any puppy but a full of life and a super cute puppy. Everyone wants to play with him. Well all humans want to play with him. The others pets want him to leave. Cav doesn't care, he plays with them even when they growl at him.

What's this shift? Oh yeah part four.

Man this is taken a little bit of time, I'm in the fourth hour of shaving Koda. He is doing real good. This time I was able to shave the top of his back legs, and his chest.

3rd shift of shaving Koda

Yeah the third shift of shaving Koda is done. Both sides are done. Just legs, chest, and stomach to go.

Shaving Koda 2nd shift

I was able to shave one side of Koda's back and side of his stomach before we had to take another break.

Prince

Prince is a Keeshond. The picture on the left is Prince as a puppy just starting to get his black color. The picture on the right is Prince about 2 years old. Amazing color change; from almost all gray to almost all black. Keeshond's have a light under coat; and are about 17" to 18" tall at the shoulders.

Poor Maggie, She was just suppose to get a trim; yet her back was shaved and face cut in square shape, she doesn't look like herself. She has been pouting. She doesn't like her new cut.
